Good morning and HAPPY New Year!!!! 2012 was a good year for this family. Daddy Dearest and I used to go out and ring in the New Year with friends and do the whole nine-yards of New Years Eve fun. But having a family has made it less important to go out and do all that. At least for me it has. I don't want to speak for DD. Here is my thought process behind it...Getting a babysitter New Years Eve is great! You get to go have dinner, actually have an uninterrupted conversation, fun with friends, stay up late, etc.. However, the next morning, your babysitter is gone and all responsibility is back to this tired, possibly a bit hung-over, Momma. Not so much fun. Anyway...I would much rather spend that night with my kiddos anyway. With that being said, we stayed in last night and watched some home movies from the past year with the kids. It left me feeling so totally blessed that 1. We have two beautiful, healthy, growing, wonderful kids. 2. I have the opportunity to stay at home with them and catch some of the milestone/funny/silly things that happen on video. 3. That my sweet Husband makes sure that all videos and pictures are loaded onto our computer and organized so that we are ABLE to watch them. It was the perfect way for us to celebrate with the Kids.
As for 2013...I hope and pray it will be another great year for our little family. One filled with love, learning new things and enjoying each other. I have really neglected the blog in the last year. That shameful fact has motivated me to make a resolution for 2013. My resolution...I will write on the blog every day. Rain or shine, sick or not, anything interesting going on or not...I. WILL. WRITE. Even if it is just a tiny bit. I will do it. So there it is. This is big for me. Seeing as we just had the "Christmas of the Trains" at our house. I can think of no better mantra for this topic (at least for me) than "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can" do this. I have been pretty hard headed and steadfast with a few other New Year's resolutions in the past so maybe I can do it. I just know that I have missed recording so much in the past year that I don't want to miss any more.
How about you guys? Any New Year's resolutions for you?
Happy New Year for our family to yours!
