Making our way down to the coast was the worst part of the whole trip. Bunny, who usually crashs hard while in the car, made it very clear that we shouldn't have pulled over in Montgomery for that "Whataburger". She slept until that point and didn't go to sleep again until we were 30 minutes from the beach. She would play a little and then cry and we would pull over and get some hot water to make a bottle. Then she would play a little more and cry a little more and we would pull over and change her diaper. The cycle just repeated itself many times. 6 1/2 hours and 5 stops later she finally gave in and went to sleep! That was it!!! We are so very blessed to have such an easy going child. Well, she is CURRENTLY easy going. We will see what the future holds.
Bunny LOVED the water!!! She would kick her little lets and splash with her little arms. It was so cute. Daddy Dearest and I would let her "swim" back and forth between us over and over. She LOVED it! The only thing that topped it was her falling asleep sitting up in my lap 5 minutes after getting out of the water.
This was our trip. We would get up in the morning, having our coffee/bottle outside on the balcony over looking the pool and ocean. Bunny would nap for a little while. We would go down to the pool. Bunny would splash/"swim" for a little while. We would go back and relax for a little while before going out for dinner. Not much of a change from MY normal schedule, minus having coffee by the ocean, but a great getaway! I really don't think we could have asked for anything better. We got some sun, played in the sand and had lots of fun together! I will look forward to the next time we go. Daddy Dearest said that it would be when Bunny goes to college but I have a feeling we will be there again next summer. Can't wait!!!!
