My Baby, Daddies

Okay, Okay...I know. I will begin by apologising for the title. But it fits...Why you may ask. If it were a question...Our sweet Daddy Dearest IS the only only Daddy that Bunny has! AND, he is IN FACT her Daddy. BUT...Bunny hasn't really gotten the concept that EVERY man she sees is NOT "Da-Da".

Bunny is now 14 1/2 months old and is ONLY saying "Da-Da". Which is really so sweet to hear her say but through "Ma-Ma" a BONE!!!! Give ME...the one that changes [MOST] diapers, entertains, makes food (which is tossed to the floor or dog, but that is a whole other post) and bottles, rocks for hours in the rocking chair, walks MILES everyday as a 'crutch'...SOMETHING! But, I digress.

In the last month, Bunny has started jabbering a bit more. It truly is music to my ears! I love it when she gets going. You can tell by her facial expressions and tone of voice that she is telling me SOMETHING. It is just the cutest thing.

That is until I am alone with her at the grocery store or ANYWHERE for that matter and she makes a male friend. Which is quite often! How could someone pass that sweet smile and NOT want to be her friend. : ) But when a man is an ANY vicinity she starts POINTING and saying "Da-Da-Da-Da" over and over, in a very LOUD voice.

I can't tell how many confused looks, smirks, smiles and then the quick look around as to say "where is your Daddy?" and laughs it has drawn. I have to admit, I get a little embarrassed. : ) All I can do is shrug my shoulders, shake my head and tell her that "Da-Da" is at work. So...to all of Bunny's Daddies out there. I just HOPE you have a sweet little girl or boy calling you, as well as some random other men, calling you "Da-Da" one day.
